Last updated: 2026-10-04
Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect when you use our online shop and place orders, the purposes for which we process it, whom we share it with and how long we keep it. We process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the Personal Data Protection Act of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Data controller
The controller of your personal data is:
EDIN BABIĆ BH DELIKATESE d.o.o. Arnautovići bb, 71300 Visoko, Bosna i Hercegovina Data-protection e-mail: [email protected]
For any question about how we process your data or about exercising your rights, contact us at the e-mail address above.
What personal data we collect
We collect only the data needed to provide our services and fulfil your orders:
- Account data: first and last name, e-mail, encrypted password, order history.
- Order and delivery data: delivery and billing address, telephone number, order contents.
- Payment data: payments are handled by payment service providers; we do not store full card numbers, only the confirmation and status of the transaction.
- Communications: messages you send us by e-mail or the contact form for support and enquiries.
- Newsletter: e-mail address and consent status if you subscribe to our newsletter.
- Website and analytics data: IP address, browser type, pages visited and similar technical data, generally in pseudonymised form.
- Order security data: when you use the shopping cart and when you place an order, we record the IP address of your device and its approximate location (the country and, where available, the region or city) as reported by our content delivery network (CDN). We use this data to detect and prevent fraudulent orders and orders with a wrong delivery address.
- Visit statistics: each time a page is opened, we record the IP address and the approximate location (the country and, where available, the region, city and approximate coordinates) as reported by our content delivery network (CDN), the device type, browser and operating system, the page visited and the website you came from. We use no cookies for this and store nothing on your device.
Purposes and legal bases
We process your data for the following purposes and on the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): processing orders, delivery, account management and customer support.
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): sending the newsletter and setting non-essential cookies. You may withdraw your consent at any time.
- Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): security of the site, fraud prevention and improving our offering and services.
- Legitimate interest in preventing fraudulent and wrong-address orders (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): we compare the approximate location of the device recorded for a cart or an order with the delivery country, to recognise suspicious orders and check them before dispatch. An order for delivery to one country that is placed from another country may be declined in the online shop; in that case you can contact us.
- Legitimate interest in visit statistics and in sending visitors to the right shop (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): we use visit data to measure traffic, prevent abuse and recognise visitors outside Bosnia and Herzegovina, who are shown a link to our shop for other countries (edinbabic.eu) instead of this shop.
- Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR): accounting, tax and other statutory retention duties.
Recipients and processors
We share your data only to the extent necessary to provide the service, with carefully selected partners acting as processors under a data-processing agreement:
- Payment service providers that process payments.
- Delivery services and couriers, including BH Pošta, to deliver orders.
- E-mail and analytics providers for communication and statistics.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers on which our site runs.
We do not sell your data to third parties. We disclose data to public authorities only where required by law.
International data transfers
We generally process your data within Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Economic Area (EEA). Where a service provider processes data outside the EEA, the transfer takes place only subject to appropriate safeguards under the GDPR, such as an adequacy decision or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Data retention
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by law:
- Order and invoice records: kept for about 10 years to meet accounting and tax obligations.
- Account data: kept for as long as your account exists, or until you request deletion.
- Newsletter: data is kept until you withdraw consent or unsubscribe.
- Analytics data: kept for at most about 14 months, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
- Order security data (IP address and approximate location): for a shopping cart, deleted 90 days after the cart was last used. For an order, the IP address is deleted after 12 months, while the approximate location stays with the order record for as long as that record is kept.
- Visit statistics: the IP address is deleted after 90 days, the remaining visit data (without the IP address) after 400 days.
- Support messages: kept for the limited period needed to handle the enquiry and any later complaint.
Once the period ends, we securely delete or anonymise the data.
